Veneers are one of the most common cosmetic procedures because they provide immediate, noticeable results. Minimal-prep or non-prep veneers are thin, tooth-coloured strips of ceramic material used to correct chips, discolouration, and gaps between teeth.
To apply a traditional veneer, a small amount of tooth enamel must be removed. Minimal-prep veneers are thinner, so there is no need to remove as much or non-prep veneers where nothing is removed from the tooth — enamel. Because of this, they also eliminate the need for an anaesthetic in many cases.
Like standard veneers, a minimal-prep or non-prep veneer is bonded to the front surface of a tooth, disguising any imperfections. We can fabricate veneers on-site with our restoration milling machinery, allowing us to complete a veneer fitting on the same day.
Aside from hiding imperfections and the speed at which we can achieve results, minimal-preparation or non-prep veneers also significantly reduce the risk of tooth sensitivity, as we can maintain most if not all your natural tooth enamel.
Yes! All our reconstructions are manufactured using fine ceramic materials. With proper care, minimal- or non-prep veneers can last 10-20 years or more.
